CFT-L

Features:

1. High resolution torque measurement

The torque transmission drive shaft is supported by friction free air bearings between the torque sensor and the brake disc with brake calipers installed, minimizing the rotational resistance on the drive shaft. So much so that very small residual drag moments can be measured.

2. DTV/Runout testing

The non-contact displacement sensor and flexible fixture make the measurement of DTV and LRO easier and more accurate.

3. Universal brake disc and caliper installation fixture

In order to adapt to brake discs and calipers of different sizes and shapes, universal fixtures can cover most of the brake calipers and brake discs.

4. Brake fluid leakage test

The precise flow meter built-in in the brake fluid supply pipeline can measure the amount of liquid mentioned and determine the amount of liquid leakage in the master cylinder.

5. Clamping force test

The built-in force sensor can measure the clamping force of the brake caliper.

6. Multifunctional software

The measurement program provides testing condition settings, display of minimum and maximum test values, and warning signals for tolerance differences.

The analysis program provides details of the periodic components of the measured quantity, as well as various statistical data.

Testing process

The testing process of CFT-L is as follows:

1. Power up the device PC and open the CFT-L test program.

2. Check the brake fluid level, and if it falls below the minimum mark, top up the brake fluid again.

3. Install the brake disc to the end of the drive shaft, and the universal mounting bracket can be adjusted to accommodate brake discs ranging from 200mm to 400mm.

4. Install the brake caliper on the caliper mounting fixture, which can move and tilt in the x, y, and z directions according to the position of the friction plate for installation.

5. Adjust the gap between the friction plate and the brake disc to ensure that the brake disc can rotate without friction.

6. Connect the brake fluid supply pipeline to the brake caliper inlet.

7. Empty the air in the master cylinder by pressing the pedal of the liquid supply switch several times until the air is zero.

8. Click the "READY" button on the measurement program and then select "LOW CHECK" from the menu. The system will start supplying brake fluid to the master cylinder based on the set pressure, duration, and braking cycle, then measure the brake fluid pressure, total flow rate, and define the phenomenon of brake fluid leakage and the clamping force of the master cylinder.

9. Click "START" and the drive shaft will start driving the brake disc to rotate and measure the drag torque, DTV, and end play of the brake disc. Before starting the measurement, the user needs to select the rotational speed and cycle, such as 50RPM or 10 turns.

10. Click "STOP" and save the test data to a custom file to end the test.

11. Open the CFT-L Viewer analysis program to analyze and investigate saved test files.
