Career experience

I have over 30 years of experience in the automotive industry. He started at General Motors Europe's Luton manufacturing plant and then worked at GME and Milbrook Proving Ground, holding various engineering and management positions in the vehicle engineering and business departments. In 2013, he joined Intertek, a FTSE 100 index company in the UK, leading the sales and marketing functions of Intertek's UK automotive department. Joined the French company UTAC CERAM in 2018 to establish their UK business, and then led UTAC to acquire Millbrook Proving Ground in 2021. During my time at UTAC, I gained a deeper understanding of EuroNCAP testing standards. Darren is currently responsible for the market development function of AB Dynamics Limited and is responsible for the global sales of its laboratory and ADAS site testing products.

From February 2007 to February 2013, he worked in Chang'an Automobile Co., Ltd., and was successively responsible for independent research and development of EMC, software and hardware reliability, EMS and auto drive system. In February 2013, the "Hundred Talents Plan" talent was introduced to Chongqing University, undertaking over 50 projects (5 national level), publishing over 100 SCI/EI papers (4 highly cited ESI papers, nearly 50 SCI searches), applying for more than 20 invention patents (10 authorized), and participating in the writing of 2 ICV related works. Received the first and second prizes of Chongqing Science and Technology Progress Award, twice the second and once the third prizes of the Automotive Industry Science and Technology Progress Award, the best performance award of the National Standard Innovation Competition, the best technology award of the World Smart Expo Autonomous Driving Challenge, twice the Excellent Paper Award of the Chinese Society of Automotive Engineering, and the NI Graphic System Design Special Application Award.
