Receive RTK correction data directly to your VBOX data logger without the need for an on-site RTK base station.

  • Internet access to public or commercial RTK networks with centimeter-level position accuracy

  • Eliminates limitations on radio transmission range and line-of-sight transmission

  • Simple configuration via Wi-Fi using your phone or laptop

  • Integrated OLED screen for displaying status and connection information

  • Receive correction signal from your own base station via internet when connected to laptop/PC

How to work?

The VBOX NTRIP modem can be used to receive RTK corrections by using a subscribed network RTK service or by creating your own NTRIP Caster, which is set up by connecting the VBOX base station to a networked PC or laptop.

Both options allow your data collector to receive RTCM corrections, enabling it to record centimeter-level positional accuracy without the limitations of radio coverage.

NTRIP service provider

Utilizing an RTK network enables testing at longer distances while still receiving accurate RTK correction data.

NTRIP service providers use networked base stations to send RTK data to your receiver from the nearest base station. This ensures you get the most accurate corrections and expands your test coverage.

Using a third-party network requires a subscription to the NTRIP service, and fees and coverage may vary by geographic location.

However, the scale and capacity of the service continues to grow, especially in areas where base stations are densely deployed.

NTRIP Caster

By connecting the RTK base station to a networked PC or laptop, you can create your own standalone NTRIP Caster.

Correcting the signal using Wi-Fi or cellular communications can significantly improve the range and reliability of the base station signal compared to using radio.

Broadcasting from your own base station also waives the cost of subscribing to a third-party NTRIP service provider.

However, multiple base stations may be required to cover your test area, and RTK correction services become less effective the further you are from the base station.
